January 1
I don’t know what’s happening, but four viruses are mutating and spreading rapidly across the globe. I’ve teamed up with V. Woolf (Researcher), F. Joshua (Dispatcher), and A.H. Kis (Scientist). We have to contain Black Plague, Red Death, Blueberry Rash, and Yellow Fever before the public panic begins.
January 10
Blueberry Rash and Yellow Fever are under control. But Black Plague and Red Death keep breaking out. Woolf is consolidating research and sharing it with Kis, but cures aren’t coming fast enough.
January 18
Red Death mutated. Woolf says there’s no hope for a cure. We can never eradicate it. Joshua’s contacts built a second research station in Istanbul — flying in and out is easy now, but we need coverage further east. Shanghai or Ho Chi Minh City. Riots are likely soon.
January 26
We did it. Blueberry Rash, Yellow Fever, and Black Plague are treated. Red Death is contained but permanent — we’ll focus on containment from here. I discovered a way to treat diseases in adjacent cities. It depletes most of my supplies, but it’s something.
Let’s hope February is a better month.
